2026 Seonyang Bare Marathon

The Seonyang Bare Marathon is a New Year's celebration event that began on January 1, 2015, along the Gapcheon River in Daejeon. Designed to help participants experience nature in its purest form during cold weather and start the new year with health and vitality, the event evolved into an official marathon competition from 2016 onwards. Now held annually on January 1st, it has become a unique nationwide New Year's festival. Participants strengthen their health and spirit of challenge through running on New Year's Day, while enjoying various events and special prizes. This festival carries significant meaning as a celebration of overcoming physical limits and sharing community energy. The 2026 edition will feature expanded programs and enhanced safety management.
