Daejeon Midnight Festival

The Daejeon Midnight Festival is inspired by the nostalgic Korean pop song "Daejeon Blues," famous for the line "Farewell, I'm leaving~ Daejeon departure at 12:50 AM~". The festival's catchphrase, "Daejeon that never sleeps, fun that never stops," signifies the aim to keep all the fun in Daejeon continuous. With a goal to become a global festival enjoyed by people from all over the world, the Daejeon Midnight Festival features a unique theme of "time travel." It transforms a 1km section of Jungang-ro from Daejeon Station to the former Chungnam Provincial Office into a car-free zone where visitors can experience Daejeon's past, present, and future in different areas. This year, alongside the street fringe stage on Jungang-ro, various performances will be held in nearby small theaters. [Event Details] On the 9th: A large-scale 9-color street parade, D-Culture Festival, innovation science and technology exhibition & experience, K-POP concert, family theme park, and Ggumssi family photo zone.
